I was thinking of getting them to move usb ports to check if the mouse / maybe usb ports is problematic. But this issue started when they were still working in the office. The user is currently working remotely and connecting into the office to work. which leads me to believe maybe the mouse connected to the device is problematic. but if you look on the hardware tab, there is nothing detected and no info there. I also noticed if you open main.cpl to look at the mouse properties. Strange thing though, in the even event viewer usually you you get the section for "mice and other pointing devices" which then has a generic "HID-compliant mouse", on the user's device this is not present. I've checked all windows updates and dell drivers.

No matter what she does it stays as the normal arrow. On my users's machine this is not happening at all. Usually when you hover your mouse cursor over a link in any document or even on a web browser the mouse cursor changes from the arrow to a hand or when resizing an app / document you get the double arrow. We have an issue with a user where the mouse cursor is not changing at all.
